The Park of the Month

Of all of the wonderful park facilities in Cape Coral, most residents have a favorite, and for their own reasons. Whether it's because so many Cape Coral residents spend more time at this park than others or simply for the fact that the amenities are so numerous, I am not certain. What is certain is that this facility is many resident's favorite ! Because of this, the Park of the Month for June is the Cape Coral Yacht Club.




The Cape Coral Yacht Club was built in 1958 and is one of the original landmarks of the city. Located directly on the Caloosahatchee River in a beautifully landscaped setting, the public beach offers visitors 634 ft. of pristine beach with picnic shelters, BBQ grills, ADA accessible playground, an incomparable fishing pier ( which is an awesome place to take in the sunset ) and restaurant. Other on-site amenities include free racquetball and shuffleboard courts, 5 tennis courts with pro shop, plus a marina and public boat ramp.


Also located on site is the public swimming pool. The pool is open 7 days a week, and features a kiddy pool with an interactive dewdrop fountain and underwater bubblers. Swimming lessons and summer children’s camps are offered, along with a variety of family programs such as the upcoming Aquatic Festival and Synchronized Swim Show. Birthday party packages and after hour pool rentals are also available.


The Yacht Club offers a variety of programs and events for all ages. Summer camps for children are in full swing! Sailing, Powerboat, Kayaking, Fishing, Tennis, Adventure....they have it all ! Be sure to visit the Yacht Club on the first Wednesday of every month for our "Sunset Celebration on the Pier", featuring live music and arts and craft vendors.
