Phase III Watering Restrictions

Because the South Florida Water Management District has declared a Phase III watering emergency, residential lawn irrigation is under a new set of time and day restrictions. While the city is trying to be as lenient as possible, the Code Compliance department has the right to levy fines that can range from $25.00 up to $500.00.




Based upon these new restrictions, customers using the city's reclaimed water can water two days per week. Residents using private wells or other water sources for their lawn irrigation will be restricted to watering only one day per week.

Here are the new guidelines for watering with City Water:

• If you are using the city's reclaimed water and your home address ends in "0"
You can water Monday and Friday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using the city's reclaimed water and your home address ends in "1"
You can water Monday and Friday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

• If you are using the city's reclaimed water and your home address ends in "3 or 5"
You can water Wednesday and Saturday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using the city's reclaimed water and your home address ends in "7 or 9"
You can water Wednesday and Saturday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

• If you are using the city's reclaimed water and your home address ends in "2 or 4"
You can water Thursday and Sunday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using the city's reclaimed water and your home address ends in "6 or 8"
You can water Thursday and Sunday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.


**Duplexes and multi-family on less than 5 acres can water Monday and Friday from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

**Commercial and multi-family on more than 5 acres can water Monday and Friday from Midnight to 8:00 AM.


Here are the new guidelines for watering from wells, potable, canals, or lakes:

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "0"
You can water Monday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "1"
You can water Monday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "2"
You can water Tuesday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "3"
You can water Tuesday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "4"
You can water Wednesday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "5"
You can water Wednesday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "6"
You can water Thursday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "7"
You can water Thursday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "8"
You can water Friday between Midnight and 4:00 AM.

• If you are using other water sources and your home address ends in "9"
You can water Friday between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM.


**Duplexes and multi-family on less than 5 acres can water Sunday from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

**Commercial and multi-family on more than 5 acres can water Sunday from Midnight to 8:00 AM.
