Robin Takes A Sabbatical

Often, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary to just take a break ! Our beloved editorial columnist, Robin Mobley, has decided to do just that. She is facing some personal issues that preclude her from being able to write her column. While it's truly disappointing that she must be absent, her need for personal space is one I would never ignore or take lightly.


Robin Mobley is a capable, talented and amazingly articulate soul. Her wit, wisdom and insight is always instinctively woven into each piece she produces. As the site's administrator, I am at a loss for words regarding my disappointment about her need for sabbatical.

Paradise Ponderings has been a welcome addition to this social network and it's weekly content. Given this simple fact, I would be remiss to drop the column in her absence. That being said, Greatest Cape will continue to publish Paradise Ponderings.

Tough economic conditions are a reality for our country and until new leadership takes the helm in the oval office, the economy is not likely to see any significant improvement.

So, we will take a look at southwest Florida, and, also, the nation at large. We'll attempt to dispel any local rhetoric that just isn't true, while, at the same time, encouraging our readership to share their own thoughts as to what they would like us to consider and discuss. If we can be a support pillar within our southwest Florida community, our mission is being served.

In every case, we promise to tell it just like it is. Upon that promise, you can certainly rely !
