Emergency Watering Restrictions Lifted

Due to improved regional water resource conditions, i.e : Recent rain storms, the South Florida Water Management District ( SFWMD ) has modified the present emergency water restrictions for Lee County, transitioning from one-day-week landscape irrigation restrictions to two-day-a-week watering. These changes go into effect Friday, April 18th.



While the SFWMD hasn't completely lifted restrictions, this modified Phase 2 plan that will take effect today will certainly ease the concerns of many of our local homeowners. The severity of drought conditions that initially brought on the prior Phase 3 restrictions has lessened.

Lee County residents can find out which days are scheduled for watering their lawns by visiting the SFWMD website and fiding out about the new "watering windows" for their own property.
