What's Happening ?

If you're a fan of our Southwest Florida Community Events Calendar, you know that it's where to find events that are taking place locally. If you, typically, find several events that you want to remember, you might try creating your own calendar. Doing so will give you a quick reference to your own events whenever you happen to be logged-in.

But what if you are planning a local event yourself ? Do you know how to get the word out ? Sending out press releases is a good idea, but there are many options for promoting your event.




Greatest Cape publishes events from all around southwest Florida. From Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda to Naples, we have almost continuous events. While many events are yearly, some are seasonal and others are random. If we find a special event taking place within Florida that we think has a local appeal, we'll always try to publish that event, as well.

If you are sponsoring, promoting or holding an event that you would like to have published on our calendar, we invite you to use our online submission form. When you submit your event, we are instantly alerted and able to approve the event for publication. As long as the information is complete, we usually publish any submission within 12 hours.

While it is impossible to know of every event taking place in our southwest Florida community, we make every attempt to provide thorough details regarding those events we do have published, including zip code and address information for users who have GPS navigation. If there is a website associated with an event, we always include that, as well.
