Updates, Changes and New Resources

As summer approaches southwest Florida, Greatest Cape would like to share some of the latest changes and improvements we've made to our site! Most people would agree that there is only permanence in change, and we couldn't agree more. Due to the large volume of content we provide, we are constantly striving to improve upon what we offer. Some changes are easier than others. Often, a change is an ongoing process with some of our content. Other changes we choose to implement are larger projects and require greater amounts of time. In both cases, we are seeking to make it easier to enjoy Greatest Cape!

Our YouTube® Video of the Week feature is a popular page on our site, and we appreciate the comments! However, we were forced to rebuild our YouTube® Video of the Week archives page, due to some of the content having been removed or banned. We make every attempt to monitor our links there and make certain they are live ones, but, occasionally, one slips by us. If you should you locate any links that are non-functional, we will thank you in advance to make us aware, so that we can correct them! That being said, check out this week's latest addition to our YouTube® Video of the Week gems.

Most of our members have seen our new Greatest Cape Business Directory 2.0. Since we re-launched it slightly less than a month ago, we have had more than 800 people stop by and take a look! Because our redesign was a real departure from our previous Greatest Cape Business Directory, it took a while to work out the kinks and transfer our present client's listings. When we completed the first portion of our project, we moved swiftly to building a form allowing future clients to sign-up online for a Greatest Cape Basic Business Directory Listing. While we are pleased to have also completed Phase Two of the rebuild, it wasn't going to be complete until we also introduced the ability to securely pay online. While we will be expanding our shopping cart to include other products or services we plan to offer, the ability for Cape Coral businesses to begin building their social media presence today is ready to go!

SInce we're talking about business, we are pleased and proud to announce that Greatest Cape is in the process of launching our Fort Myers Business Directory ! It will utilize the same format we've developed for our present Cape Coral business clients! Because we have been asked for many months to begin publishing a Fort Myers version of our Business Directory, so we are gratified to be able to (finally) answer those requests. Expect all of the same functionality we presently offer our Cape Coral businesses, along with the same categories and exclusivity! Check back soon, as we believe the inclusion of our Fort Myers neighbor businesses will add a valuable resource for all of our southwest Florida members !

Because our the many requests we receive for posting links to our series of tutorial videos we call Greatest Cape 101, we have added these in two new locations! First, you can access the videos from within the 'Extras' tab on the primary navigation bar. The second location to find access to the videos is from the 'Videos' link's sub-navigation in the Member Resources block in the right-hand column of our home page. We hope this makes things easier! Greatest Cape 102, our second series of tutorial videos, is already in the works!

Additionally, we want to announce that we are finalizing a new banner management system from Open-X that will allow our corporate clients to manage entire media campaigns on their own through a custom gateway. We had previously used a prior version of this software in our former site and believe that it has evolved to better suit our client's needs. Presently, Open-X is considered IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) "industry standard" software for banner management campaigns. Greatest Cape is confident about partnering again with this rock solid, end-to-end banner management solutions provider. As we introduce our first corporate clients to our site, we hope to afford ourselves new opportunities to give back to our beloved community. Stay tuned ~
